Uraaa … şi la gară. Mi-am regăsit cardul de la Raiffeisen.
Acum pot scrie un articol despre cum ajungi în extaz în doar două secunde şi cinci paşi simpli, expuşi mai jos:
să doreşti să-ţi închizi conturile de la o bancă
să vorbeşti la bancă (să-ţi plăteşti toate datoriile, să semnezi toate hârţoagele care ţi le vâră sub nas, etc)
să te trezeşti că eşti somat să-ţi plăteşti datoriile la banca respectivă la un an după ce ai şi uitat că ai avut vreodată cont la ei
să-ţi plăteşti din nou datoriile şi să te trezeşti că nu-ţi poţi închide contul fără card (de care nu aveai habar că mai ai nevoie) şi să nu-l găseşti
să regăseşti cardul
Mi-am găsit cardul. Hai înapoi la bancă (învoieşte-te din nou de la lucru să poţi ajunge cât timp banca e încă deschisă). Plin de emoţii că scap de şacalii ăştia mercantili şi plin de transpiraţie că am făcut raliuri cu bicicleta, ajung la bancă şi fug repede înăuntru.
Casiera cu care am vorbit data trecută era lipsă, dar m-a recunoscut colega ei şi m-a trecut peste rând. Îi dau buletinul, scot (mândru de mine) cardul şi aştept să termine holbatul la buletin şi monitor.
Brusc, mă anunţă, relativ senină, că nu-mi poate închide contul, fiindcă am o poprire pe cont. Poftim ?!? Ce-i aia ?? Păi să vedeţi că Primăria Arad v-a pus poprire pe cont în valoare de 67 de RON şi nu puteţi închide contul până când nu achitaţi. Nu, nu, nu se poate să plătiţi aici, trebuie să mergeţi în Arad, la Finanţe sau cine ştie unde … şi trebuie să aduceţi o hârtie de la ei că nu mai aveţi poprire. Îmi pare rău, probabil că nu a fost atentă colega mea când s-a uitat săptămâna trecută.
Păi … colega la ce dracu’ visa ? Nu e pusă să fie atentă ? Dacă face o greşeală care dăunează băncii, presupun că i se trage din salar … dacă-mi greşeşte mie, un om de rând, cui îi pasă …
Uite aşa am pierdut încă o săptămână, plimbat pe la bănci şi cu prospecte interesante de plimbare prin Arad.

The image in the left displays a Doppler radar. It usually is used for weather stations or in air traffic control. In other shapes and dimensions it is used as police speed guns, in radiology, and so on. How and why it works is not important for the story to come.
In Oradea, very close to the airport, is such a Doppler radar. Obviously, being close to the airport, it is very close to the much praised Tiago (which didn’t open anymore … at all). Watching from the city belt, the radar is right behind Tiago. In this other side of the city belt, at about 170 feet, is the office building in which I’m working. In a straight line there are, probably, about 650-820 feet between the radar and my job.

If you want to believe in something, consider it done. The self-control over one’s mind is to be envied … too bad it only works when it shouldn’t. Maybe the fear of unknown, the fear of being lonely, and so on, are powerful catalysts.
I ordered a laptop, because of the sudden death (or clinical death, not sure yet) of the old one.

Leaving the foolishness aside, I can hardly wait for it to arrive. As far as I know, the delivery will take place around 12 o’clock. Do not disturb me before this hour. I’m stressed out
No more hot water, again. For a week now. What’s cute is that I found out when I tried to take a shower. The block administrator, when I asked, said she knew about it. She’ll never know how close she was to become my punching bag, especially when she continued by saying there won’t be hot water for another two weeks or so.
They are repairing some pipes. What, was there some sort of accident with the plumbing ? Oh, no, but they must change and repair a few pipes … In the autumn ?!?
Who am I to blame now ? Obviously, being just a small and stupid Romanian, I am the one that’s guilty. Why the hell didn’t I take my shower when I have had hot water ?
Whether we want to or not, we have to face the Windows’s Desktop daily. The Start button, the applications’ buttons, the icons for the antivirus, network, video driver or Yahoo! Messenger, the icons dropped randomly on the screen, the Vista sidebar, and so on and so forth.
Obviously, this post is addressed to people that use Windows (I thought you understood that from the title … what are you doing here ? ). On Linux or *BSD or Mac they have different desktops, but … quite alike. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to say that Microsoft invented the wheel, I’m just saying that, slowly, the looks start to be alike. Of course, each operating system comes with news and tries to look different or to be able to do new stuff … but, for the main parts, things are leveling.
Does anyone remember where Windows was in the beginning, as an operating system ? Do you remember if you have had Quick Launch on Windows 95 ? Do you know which Windows first featured the “Refresh” option in the desktop’s context-menu ?
Maybe there are people that couldn’t care less, but I always found amusing to notice the little details that concern the Windows’ look. For example, did you notice that many error messages in Windows 95 were displayed in the Windows 3.1 style ? Or that Windows Seven was the first Windows to change the Install New Font window … after it remained in it’s original Windows 95 design for about 13 years ? Do you remember that in Windows 98 there was not “Lock the Taskbar” option, this causing the Quick Launch to have different widths from one Windows restart to another ?
